Music Winning Entry
Into the deep golden eyes
Our eyes locked
And my soul teared
When I thought about losing him
To the horrible infestation.
His once black feathers
Turn a pale white,
Eyes a soft pink
Hearts floating in the dimming light
In a strange, tragic link.
After weeping night and morning
I plant a kiss on the forehead my beloved Jinx
And leave, still secretly mourning.
A strange feline
Unaffected by this plague
Continues this rhyme
By gripping my leg.
He slips something into my pocket...
Then, there's a tinkling I begin hear
So loud my heart beats against my ears
A love potion the cat has spared.
