This Month in Mistica: September '14
Written By Fay

This Month in Mistica is a quick guide to everything that’s happened on site in the past month. Whether you’re new and want a better idea of what goes on here, an older user who’s returning, or simply too lazy to read the news, this article has all -- okay, most -- of the information you need!

September began with the usual monthly update to the Vending Machine, as well as the reveal of the champion gift and release of the September Kohal.

On the 3rd the Credit Shop and Jade Emporium were updated.

The 5th saw some coding fixes implemented and the release of the Cirrus and Nimbus Aetra.

Four days later, we saw some lovely new item revamps, including the Mistical Petra Egg. And if you haven’t been lucky enough to get a Lysador, you can comfort yourself with one of Arielle’s new plushies!

The 10th saw a Giveaway update and Achyrli acquiring some new art pieces.

On the 12th Dr. Erlenmeyer was in her lab, attempting to replicate some of Feron’s toadstools, but magic has a mind of its own! She accidentally created the Terminal Toadstool, and a mischievous little clockroach helped them spread and grow. Later that day the Terminal Anya, Belragoth, Kratork, Ahbruis, and Obsideon were discovered.

The Terminal Toadstools were replicating rapidly! Only a day later the Terminal Caribyss and Tarinooki made themselves known.

On the 15th we were all seeing green and black as it was Robin’s birthday, and a wicked Wytch doll was released to celebrate! Some Terminal pets decided they would go with the theme and so the Terminal Stignightus and Shyre were released.

Two days later, it seemed Monty went missing! The Collector took over the Jade Emporium, and wasn’t telling where his boss had gone. Meanwhile, the Terminal Toadstools were spreading, and the Terminal Eledon and Lysador were released.

Captain Jack sailed into Mistica on the 19th, bringing with him many pirate goodies and a rugged new look.

The next day, the Captain unloaded even more cargo, and the Mistican shops were almost overflowing with his items!

Unfortunately he wasn’t so jolly on the 22nd. He saw a storm brewing…but was it really just some bad weather on the way? Luckily we got some new avatars to distract us!

The next day, avatars were fixed, and even more released.

Digging for treasure opened up on the 24th!

On the 26th, random events began awarding Pirate Coins, but everyone was a little wet, as a downpour had overtaken Mistica. Captain Jack appeared less than pleased by the coins, however. Pirate Pinatas also made a comeback.

Captain Jack ran off in the rain on the 29th, into a series of hidden caves he seemed to know well. Using a Pirate Coin, he saw the ghost of his old captain, whose spirit had somehow been called back to the world of the living. Captain Jack promised to find him rest again.

It seems things are getting spooky, and it’s not even October yet!
