This Month in Mistica: April '14
Written By Fay

This Month in Mistica is a quick guide to everything that’s happened on site in the past month. Whether you’re new and want a better idea of what goes on here, an older user who’s returning, or simply too lazy to read the news, this article has all -- okay, most -- of the information you need!

April began with the usual Poisson D’Avril shenanigans, from paper fish to misguided writers scribbling on the items.

Vending and Credit Shop updates were posted the next day and the shiny April Kohal was released.

April 4th was World Rat Day! To celebrate these underappreciated furry cuties, some adorable new pals were released. We also celebrated Kodai’s birthday with a mysterious but beautiful new pal.

The next day we celebrated the Mericai, Vix, Caribyss and Haruba with riddles, figurines and new items.

April 7th was Tater Day! A whole Tater family was released as well as an odd purple potato.

Two days later there was a Hero Rat updated posted and the Baby Hero Rat Plushie released.

Pandoria’s birthday was fast approaching and so on the 11th, Rosebud released all of her usual egg decorating gear along with a new item for new designs!

The next day Aibrean held her book quiz and released several new books for reading.

Pandoria’s exiled sister, Ansidoria, showed up on the 13th with a birthday present of an odd hatchipal egg. Pandoria was suspicious but also eager to repair the rift between herself and her sister, so she accepted the gift.

The next day Ostara stock was released in the shops, including some old items that received revamps!

On the 15th Pandoria was studying Ansidoria’s egg. There was no magic and Pandoria doubted it would ever hatch, although it had multiplied on its own.

The 16th saw even more Ostara stock released, including new pals, candy, and revamps!

The next day Ansidoria’s unusual egg hatched into skeletal black creatures. On a happier note, new Bunny Pips were released.

Ken Kratork reported on the weather, which once again had gone haywire. Pandoria watched, feeling powerless; her own magic was being used against her.

On the 19th Rae managed to capture one of Ansidoria’s hatchlings and bring it to Pandoria. Working together, they studied how the creature worked, and then Rae left to see if she could tame some of the magic.

The next day Rae appeared with a sunny box wreathed in clouds. It gave Pandoria inspiration. Later that day Pandoria developed a counter to Rae’s box, one that was grey and dripping rainwater. The two boxes blessed nearby pets who used their newfound powers to begin righting Mistica’s weather. This meant that the new Cirrus and Nimbus Ricket, Tarinooki, Panju, and Belragoth were released!

As the boxes grew stronger more pets were affected, this time the Mandoran and Braenon on the 21st. Later, Pandoria opened up her usual prize shop, filled with old favorites and new things to collect! Ansidoria also got her own Fashion Tag, found in Pandoria’s shop or the Credit Shop.

On the 22nd, Zisscors and Stignightus also found themselves blessed by the Cirrus and Nimbus boxes, and the next day came the Obsideon and Draklaita!

The 24th gave us another Hero Rat update and the Cirrus and Nimbus Skillow and Jumboyo.

The Cirrus and Nimbus Kirui were the last pets – for now – to help Pandoria with the weather and were discovered the next day.

Pandoria confronted Ansidoria on the 26th, and finally exiled the dark goddess from Mistica forever. Her pals wilting and power gone, Ansidoria obeyed.

Three days later we ended April with more item revamps for the Toy Factory’s line of puppets!

Hopefully all of April’s showers (and sunshine, and hurricanes, and floods…) means that May will be a calm month. Poor Pandoria needs some down time!
