The Proud Leader
Based on Lucemon Chaos Mode from Digimon.
Of the many times that Dusk had interrupted his attacks on the leader of the Royal Circle, Zain found it odd how he managed to show up and 'accidentily' caused a diversion that resulted in the leader getting away. He knew there was a connection between the two, he just didn't know what it was. But now... His bright blue eyes stared down the stairs at the Demon of Gluttony.
"Dusk." The retreating figure paused on the last flight of stairs, the slight twitch of his wings revealing that he was startled. Zain's lips pulled back in a smirk. Did he actually think he hadn't noticed him trying to leave? It was impressive how cool the other was still acting as he turned towards the leader, a rather bored look upon his face.
"What do you want Zain? I'm heading out and I don't feel like listening to all of you idiots rattle on how you're gonna destroy the knights." The corrupted angel waved his words away as if dismissing the fact he spoke, slowly descending the stairs one by one. Words were not needed, not yet. He still towered over Dusk by seven inches, iridescent wings shining forth to light his way. The other Demon may have fooled the others, but he knew he would find out where this one's allegiance truly lies with soon enough.
"Listen here, you insolent winged demon," Zain's hand lashed out and gripped the other by his neck, drawing him close so they were face to face, "The others may not see it, but you are walking on thin ice as it is. Regardless of how much I enjoy our lovely conversations when you actually want to be with us, don't think for a second that you can just abandon your position as a Demon Lord of Sin. Whatever you are hiding, I will delight in finding, and destroying it in front of your eyes."
Silence fell between them, Dusk biting back a retort. Critical eyes roamed the other's face before the leader drew back his hand and turned from the winged demon. He began to ascend the stairs once more to return to the main living quarters where the others still inhabited.
"Remember my words, Dusk."
Of the Seven Demon Lords, there is one who many fear because of the deceptive form he takes. From his earlier form of an angelic blue-eyed boy with the power to help all those in his dominion, corruption had overtaken him and he evolved into a more powerful state. His pride of helping those unfortunate again and again drove him to want to be the only ruler, so that with his rules, no one can feel unhappiness. The power of control had been his downside. His title?
Heylel, the angel who became the Sin of Pride.
Although this angel can be called by his sin name or his title, to some he is known by as Zain. He is the leader of the Seven Demons, and embraced his downfall, seeing his pride as a great thing, as it gave him more power than he originally could gain. He carries the marking of those whose souls can easily be corrupted with power on his left eye and left leg. Due to this, he has rainbow-colored right angel wings, while his left wings are that of a black bat. Light and Darkness, such opposite powers, but together can create a deadly force, something that Zain has been able to perfect.
When sealed away, Zain had been trapped in a form that suited his personality, no longer having the power to keep his human form. His pride caused him to take the shape of a deer, with his corrupted power showing through the orb he carried in his antlers. His colorful mane and tail are tainted by long streaks of grey, while his white fur also fades to grey. Lines of gold attest to the armor he once wore, and an embellishment on his chest portrays his origin as a Demon Lord. At his back feet were golden wings that displayed him as an former angel. To his dismay, he only retains one angel and bat wing, and even more displeasing, his angel wing had turned into that of a butterfly.
Once able to escape from the seal that held him, his transformation back to his human form was slow, drained of power from nearly an eternity of being trapped. He seeks to gather his group of Demons and once again lead them against those who cast them away, the Royal Circle.
