Master Thief
A thief and a rogue, Garrett grew up on the streets, pick-pocketing and running errands to keep his ribs from meeting his spine. He encounters the Keepers one fateful day in the form of Artemis, a man that he should not be able to see but does. Sensing his potential, Artemis offers him a place among the Keepers, and grudgingly Garrett agrees. It's the start of a very long education, and an even longer adventure, one that leaves Garrett with various scars, and missing an eye.
Garrett eventually leaves the Keepers, although he continues to be a thief at trade. He sets up shop in a clock tower, and takes various jobs with the fence Basso.
Once upon a time he had an apprentice he picked up from the streets much like Artemis had done for him, a girl by the name of Erin. However, as Erin grew and became more capricious, she became less of a thief and more of a mercenary. More than willing to kill any who got in her way, and believing herself invincible, the tension between her and Garrett eventually boiled over one night during a job when Erin killed a guard, and Garrett chastised her for the action. When she explodes at him that 'a dead guard is better than a live one', Garrett tells her to kill as many people as she wants, but eventually she'll find herself answering for it. When Erin demands who exactly she would have to answer to, Garrett tells her, "yourself' and leaves her behind.
