It was the very start of winter, and a snow storm was upon us. We had just arrived home from visiting my Mother at the nursing home, walking through the start of the deep snowstorm that was coming down upon us, when I heard meowing, crying.
Afraid that my Karazhan got out the house, I ran through the snow frantically, trying to find her, but upon looking under a Douglass Fir tree, came across this beautiful, Calico cat, with green, gorgeous eyes. She looked up at me, meowed, and came walking right over to me. I began to pet her.. and she let me. I knelt down, picked her up, expecting her to struggle, but she purred in my arms as I carried her into the house.
The plan was to simply keep her inside, until the storm passed, and the weather would clear up for her to go back out, but I fell in love, immediately, and she didn't exactly seem like she wanted to leave my side either, spending each day curled beside me, purring....
So, thanks to Mother Nature, the Queen of the house came to reign upon me, upon my heart, my darling Cleopatra. With her green eyes, her sweetheart personality, and all the love that came with her.
