Since he was a boy, Chester has been gifted with the remarkable and unique talent of knowledge and understanding. His parents did all they could for their prodigal son, though, as soon as his intelligence was recognized, he was quickly able to make it the rest of the way himself. At age 5, he built his first nuclear weapon and at age 10, he graduated from his local college. It only took him a few more years of school before he graduated from Harvard with a doctorates' degree in engineering, science, biology and medical sciences, the first in his class to be awarded with the highest honor the school could grant. He of course was immediately hired, by the government no less, brought onto the team for some 'test' projects before seeing if he could be trusted with the valuable information they kept form the world.

Little were they aware that this man had already had them figured out and was only playing along in their game so that he would eventually be in control. Though, at age 17, his parents tragically died in a accident directly linked to Chester's work. Then, for a year, there was no trace of the man. Some thought he died, others figured he went off the deep end and was simply hiding on some god-forsaken island; no one knew for sure. Though, upon his return, he changed. His personality, goals, focuses all changed; he even began calling himself 'Chess' instead of 'Chester'. Though many people were grateful for his return, many more questioned him on his disappearance; of which he has still yet to speak for.

His work became more elaborate, detailed, and deadly. Toying with genetics and supernatural beings. Though his creations were successful, a lot of them ended with some sort of destruction. Whether this meant that Chess was finally off his rocker or not, was another story; though, it would seem that more people seemed to suffer terrible fates; either falling prey to one of his experiments, or becoming one of them. His attachment to this world seems to only be within a pet crow and a stuffed toy rabbit; both of which he calls 'Check'. Though their significance is unknown, it is rare to see him without one or the other.

An uncertain evil, many believe Chess is not to be trusted, and that he should be excused from any and all scientific work he is involved in; however, his employers will not let him go, for they know if they do, his intelligence will fall into their enemies hands, and then they will surely pay for wronging him. If there's one thing you do not want to do to Chess, it would be to cross him in any way.

Although, when you meet Chess first hand, he can be a bit of a full of himself, easily bragging about this or that, but very carefully masking what his true intentions are. However, if asked to simply 'tone down' such talk, he's quick to oblige. He's very courteous and gentle-man like, but also mysterious and calculating; never giving away any of his secrets, or letting you have information that would otherwise harm his intentions. He is tricky and sly, but careful about hiding that fact; if there's something he doesn't want you to know, chances are, you'll never find out.
