Mistica Chronicles

Welcome to Issue 47

Lusium Winning Entry

"Hugo? Where are you?" The Fey called out, peering around the woods by her home. The Overgrowth Mericai had wandered into the woods during a game of Hide and Seek that had long since ended, and nobody was able to find him. The Terror Jinx beside her flattened his wings to his body, head whipping around at the tops of the trees and bushes as a soft wind blew through. "Oh, why did I ever think it was a good idea to let him roam in the woods? He's been exposed to that overgrowth box! We'll never find him out here." The fey said, yanking on her hair, worry lacing her tone.

The sound of hoof beats on the mossy ground ripped her from her thoughts, hope rushing through her before she watched her companion Inanis, a nocturnal Shyre appear through the bushes with Delusions perched on his back, Rosa leaping through the bushes beside him. "Anything?" The fey asked, only getting a shake of the head from the Shyre. "Maybe the others will have found him, come on, we have to keep looking." The fey murmured, lightly patting the two equine's muzzles. Daemonus simply raising a wing for the baby Aetra to hop back onto his back. Two Phelocans landed neatly beside her, one crackling with the electricity of the Storm Pandoria box, the other flickering with a white mist that came from the Phantom Box. "SparkPlug, Whisp anything?" The fey asked, watching them both shake their heads. "Ugh, we're never going to find him at this rate... Why did I ever let him open that box?" She whimpered.

Small bits of ice started to form along the low hanging branches, catching the attention of the fey, quickly turning to peer over at the two winter boxed Misticpets as they walked through the brush. Only tilting her head a bit before the Frost Inarbu shook her head. "I hope we can find him soon, its getting close to night time, he's never liked to be alone at night." The fey murmured. Lifting her head as an Apocalyptic Haruba leaped down from one of the nearby trees, A Noir belragoth pushing the low hanging branches aside as he walked into view. Shaking his head before any questions could be asked. "Maybe we should check home... The others may have found him and brought him back by now. " She said, lightly smiling to try and ease the tension.

Without another word, the Fey quickly turned on her heel, and headed back towards where her house was, the group of her companions following quickly after her. It took only a few minutes to get back inside, and gather everyone up in the living room. The fey silently noted that her companions seemed to be getting a bit cramped, seems like she'd have to move sooner than she thought. "alright everyone, We haven't had any luck in finding Hugo in the woods, did anyone else have any luck locating him? How about Rorschach and Garrus?" The Fey turned her attention to the Nightmare Quari and Zodiac Draklatia perched in the corner. The Quari only shaking his head. "Alright... Vengeance and Cartilage?" She asked, looking over at the Albino Kratork and Albino Lirionox. Vengeance simply shook his head. "Alright.." The fey murmured. Turning her attention to the others in the house.

"Tophat and Kay?" She said, looking at the Storm Mericai and Baby anya. Seeing them both shake their heads before she continued. "Skellington and Experimented?" once again, a shake of the head. "Zero, Kalfu and Rags?" Another shake of the head, "Toxicity and Obscurum?" Again, another shake of the head. "Okay, last group. Kalgiri and Phantomwind?" She looked over at the Noir Gurahdi and Phantom Braenon. Her eyes widening when they both nodded. "Where is he?" She asked quickly. Only watching As Kalgiri pointed up at the ceiling. "He's on the roof?" Another nod. "... Note to self, check the roof first." She murmured, sighing loudly before rubbing her head. "Alright. Well, now that this issue is solved, Is anyone feeling cramped? I feel we're going to need to move quicker than previously expected." She said, only watching her companions nod.

"... I'll get Hugo off the roof when dusk falls. I don't want to go through nearly falling off the roof again... Plus he can get himself down." The fey muttered, hitting her head on the wall. Faintly smiling as she heard the ever so familiar clicking of hooves, and the dragging of a vine like tail on the hardwood floor. "Welcome Back Hugo" The Fey said. turning her head slightly to look over at the Overgrowth Mericai.
