April Rains



The clouds turn dark, the skies are gray.

Rain falls down - gloom displays.

Think pass the clouds, think pass it all.

Just think of it as very small.



You step outside into the rain,

thinking a walk would ease the pain.

A puddle appears with a rainbow reflection.

You stare at it in affection.



Sunflowers and daisies rapidly growing,

you slip a smile, without showing.

You become more calm, you enjoy the weather a bit.

It's not all bad, you admit.



As you walk, you see an Aetra padding,

on the soft rain, splishing and splashing.

Whether your down-in-the-dumps or in pain,

we can always get through April rains.
