So You Want an Oceanic Pet?
Written By Xeiana

Although the ocean is seen as a peaceful environment, its depths hide turbulent waters. Oceanic themed pets hide a dual nature underneath their exterior. Like the calm before the storm, these pets can be quite even-tempered at the best of times. They love nothing more than bathing in the sunlight above as they laze in the water, or even dive deep within the ocean to be alone.

However, one small ripple can cause a large backlash. When angered, these pets have a temper that rivals that of a tsunami or a whirlpool. Although they wouldn’t harm anyone, they will make it hard for anyone to come near them until they can calm down. It’s best to not go near water for a while until you know your pet is feeling better. It’s always best to apologize if you know you had upset them.

A connection with Oceanics is a key to avoiding their bad sides. If you are an explorer and love to dive, whether it be a hobby or just to have fun, then you will almost always keep them happy. To swim with them through a shipwreck or simply look for sand dollars on the sea floor, it’s only a matter of time until they think you are also an Oceanic! Just make sure to come up for air every now and then! Your pet may forget about that little detail.

One of the best friends an Oceanic pet can have, other than you of course, are the Overgrowth and Cirrus themed pets. The Overgrowths are a great match due to their elements are they are both content to laze around together, whether it be on land, or the Oceanic giving a lazy ride to their companion. The bright and cheer Cirrus pets enjoy sunshine almost as much as Oceanics on a warm day and will surely allow their clouds to hang down low so that they could chat about the weather or what treasures lurk below the sea.

It’s best to keep Inferno and Storm pets away from the Oceanic ones. While the hot-headed Infernos will clash and cause the Oceanics to get steamed up, their opposing elements are also a big concern. Due to their watery nature, the excitable Storm pets can be a bit too energetic for the Oceans as well as shock them accidentally. While Oceanics can be difficult due to their nature, they are still very special. If you plan to have one as your companion, you will never be lonely in the water again!
