Mistica: Second Anniversary
Written By gemajgall

This past month marks my second full year as Mistica staff—and it has been a blast! Given that it's my anniversary here, I'd like to highlight the best things I have encountered over the past twenty-four months.

Firstly and secondly, without a doubt, have to go to the amazing attitudes of the staff and users of Mistica. Everyone shares in happiness and sorrow and is always there to support each other. The warm comments I read when someone enters a new stage of life are as amazing as they are genuine—as is the comfort. I also appreciate the transparency. When there is a problem, there is no attempt to hide it. It is explained honestly and solved directly. I've been on several sites, and Mistica is the most open of them all.

It's that sense of community that will always make Mistica great. As staff, I honestly feel part of a team, and as a member I feel like part of a family. I know I tend to be on the introverted end of participation, but I still immensely enjoy reading what other people have to say in regards to celebrations, promotions, and plot twists.

Another treasured memory for me is seeing how Mistica grows and develops behind the scenes. There is a passion for this site that all staffers here have; it drives us forward week by week and month by month into new years. Working on getting Sango Reef open was a fun challenge, and developing the characters across Lanturnacht was as good as a caramel pomme. The best part is seeing the excitement from all Misticans as all these surprises are revealed. It's your energy, Mistica, that makes all of these developments possible.

Two releases in particular have been the legendaries and the four new pet species: Kirui, Ricket, Risylki, and Caribyss. Both of these made Mistica so much richer by exploring the life across all communities. The legendaries allowed everyone to see beyond humans, imps and sprites and gave more depth to all of them. And the new Misticpets are totally awesome; and no, I am not biased towards my precious Ricket.

Furthermore, I love how stress-free Mistica is. There isn't any pressure to accumulate certain trophies or prizes for respect. And there's plenty of options for users to play how they see fit, whether that be role-playing, battling, collecting, or any number of things. This diversity will grow with Mistica, doubling the fun and features. It keeps me coming back, for one.

Needless to say, I feel greatly honored to play my small part in this wonderful community. The support has been a great encouragement, and I love seeing the responses to everything Mistica has to offer. Now, to raise a glass of rainbow wine and toast to another two years—and another two years after that, and another two years after that—on board Mistica. Cheers!
