Many members of Mistica have discovered that they can expand their own little corner of this world through alliances. An alliance is basically an onsite club that one may join or create to bring together smaller groups of members for more fun! They offer the chance to form stronger friendships with the members onsite, and even encourage site spirit. There happens to be many different features within alliances that help make them so great.

Perks are usually the one major goal of alliances. They allow members to “upgrade” their alliances, to bring more fun and excitement to them! When an alliance is created, up to five members are permitted to join. However, there are three perks that allow one to upgrade to ten members, then twenty-five and eventually fifty members. The second most basic feature is a forum board. This allows the alliance members to communicate amongst themselves, and it’s really the main site of the fun! (After all, what fun is a club if you can’t chat with those inside of it?) With the help of these, members can also create more exclusive giveaways and contests. These really help keep members active! An alliance alert option is also available, and this makes it possible for the alliance leader to send out bulk alerts to every member in the alliance. This makes it especially easy to create newsletters, and make more important announcements to members!

Once the necessary perks are taken care of, many alliances aim towards bigger and better things! This includes an alliance crest, for one. This is the little image that shows up on the alliance browsing page next to each alliance name. Instead of continuing to use the boring default alliance shield, members can get creative and make their own to show off! With the proper donations made, alliances can also gain their own alliance shop, pet/mascot, and personal game creator. Keep in mind that all of these are accomplished through item and MC donations, which are made within the alliance!

Alliances are great for both newer and older members of the site. Though they aren’t a major site focus right now, they definitely have potential for becoming more involved! As the site gains more alliances, we may start to team up with others for things, become friendly “rivals,” and even compete against one another in more competitions! Alliances can be created with any type of focus. What’s the right one for you? There are all sorts of different alliance purposes. Maybe you’re more interested in joining or creating one for Harry Potter fans, or for showing off total site spirit! If you’ve got tons of real life friends here onsite, maybe you should join together and become one! The possibilities are endless. Have you thought about joining an alliance today?
